The assignement for the students: (denne siden på norsk)
THE SCHOOL IS YOUR WORLD.
- Use pictures and text to tell what values your schools should have to be a safe and good place to stay for EVERYBODY. Write your text in the picture.
- A good and safe environment is something we can create together. What will YOU do?
Tasks for students:
In the classroom, talk about what your school should be like.
When we are talking about earth we use words like war and peace. What words would you use to describe your school?
Find examples on what makes YOUR school a nice and safe place for everybody (all of us together)
Adults usually talks about problems worldwide. What you could do is to tell what kind of solutions and ideas you have found to make your school a better place for children.
We usually expect others to make changes to get things better. What could YOU do to make something a little bit better?
Write a SHORT TEXT (could be one word only) on the picture you have made. If writing in English more people will understand.
Task for school/teachers:
The teacher is responsible for getting the permit from parents for participating in this exhibition. A sample can be downloaded. We also have some information on how to organize a workshop with students and thoughts/tips for artwork in schools.
The pictures could be made on a computer or at canvas/paper. If making the pictures on canvas/paper they have to be photographed or scanned. The pictures are uploaded to Internet, according to the manual.
Upload pictures:
- Upload the pictures to Flickr (how to use Flickr)
- Tag the pictures with the name of the school (one word) and ECHO2012 (ECHO2012, schoolname). The use of tags is necessary for searching and to make a slideshow for your school or all of the schools.
- Tag the pictures with the names of the students and their ages if you have a permit from the parents.
- Send email to evabra@online.no when you are done uploading with a link to your pictures. We will use this information to link the pictures on the website for this exhibition. On the website you will find links for pictures from all the schools.
EXHIBITION ON DECEMBER 9.TH
On December 9.th all the schools are using a projector to show the pictures on a wall or use computers to watch them in the classroom. Maybe the school could invite parents and others to watch the exhibition at the school the same evening?
As a goal we want a public exhibition during 2011, but we cannot give any guarantees.
