Twinpictures: the project (denne siden på norsk)
”ECHO 2012 TVILLINGBILDER” AT WORLD YOUTH ART EXHIBITION, THE 2010 2ND UNESCO WORLD CONFERENCE ON ARTS EDUCATION.
In May 2010 5.graders at Kastellet School in Oslo, artstudents at Let’s Art Children’s Art Center in Seoul and Kasteyev School of Fine Arts in Kazakhstan made paintings together, “Tvillingbilder” (twinpictures) at Unesco world conference on arts education in Seoul. “Tvillingbilder” are paitings made on same size canvas placed in different places. By using videoconference-tools and use the projector on the canvases, it was possible to make identical pictures – twinpictures. At this event there were painted three different kind of paintings, every picture had a special message the children had decided on before the event.
Twinpictures – the use of social media in schools
Before the twinpicture-event the students in Norway and Korea had a project, a workshop, using social media. The work with art, social media og digital tools were not just a lot of fun, it also was a great way of reaching the competence- and knowledgegoals in education – and also bring in a lot of creativity in the classroom. Since the project became a great success, both ECHO2012 and Kastellet School were invited to be speakers at the world conference – using Skype!
